Visiting Cambodia

Cambodia can be accessed through three international airports (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanouk International Airport) and two international sea ports (Sihanoukville an the Phnom Penh Autonomous Port). Tourists can also enjoy traveling to Cambodia by land from neighboring Laos, Thailand or Vietnam.

All nationalities, except for visitor from the ASEAN countries, are required to apply for a visa. Visa on arrival, which is valid for a 30-day stay is available at the above mentioned international airports, sea ports and border checkpoints. However, not all nationalities will be granted a Visa-on-Arrival. It is better to apply at the Royal Cambodian Embassy or Consulate abroad before visiting.

Another immigration innovation in the form of a new online Cambodian Visa on Arrival system has just been launch; called Cambodia e-Arrival, or CeA, is now mandatory for any travelers entering to Kingdom including tourists expats and Khmer citizens. Even if you have a visa, all travelers are required to complete the online registration at least 7 days in advance using either an app on your smartphone or visit the website: https://www.arrival.gov.kh

Travelers must register, take a photo and upload passport information. Fill out the E-Arrival Card (replaces the old paper immigration arrival card, health plus customs declaration forms). A QR code will be generated after completing the application, and travelers must save the QR code on their phones or in print form to be submitted at immigration.

Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) apps can be downloaded for both IOS and Android.
