Visas
All nationalities, except for visitor from the ASEAN countries, are required to apply for a visa. A visa on arrival, valid for a thirty-day stay, is specifically granted at Phnom Penh International Airport, Siem Reap International Airport, and International Border Checkpoints. However, not all nationalities will be granted a Visa-on-Arrival. It is better to apply at the Royal Cambodian Embassy or Consulate abroad before visiting.
The visa fee for a tourist is US$30 + US$6 (processing charge), and the visa fee for a businessman is US$35 + US$7 (processing charge). Visas can be extended at the Immigration Department in Phnom Penh City. A free visa (K) is expressly granted to the Cambodian living overseas.
The Royal Government of Cambodia has recently approved E-visas. All you have to do is complete the online application form available at the official website (evisa.mfaic.gov.kh), pay by credit card online, and include uploading a recent passport-size photo in JPEG/ PNG format. The visa will be approved within three business days, allowing you to breeze by that lengthy line and get a jump-start on your holiday.
Another immigration innovation in the form of a new online Cambodian Visa on Arrival system also just been launch; called Cambodia e-Arrival, or CeA, is now mandatory for any travelers entering to Kingdom including tourists expats and Khmer citizens.
Even if you have a visa, all travelers are required to complete the online registration at least 7 days in advance using either an app on your smartphone or visit the website: https://www.arrival.gov.kh
Travelers must register, take a photo and upload passport information. Fill out the E-Arrival Card (replaces the old paper immigration arrival card, health plus customs declaration forms). A QR code will be generated after completing the application, and travelers must save the QR code on their phones or in print form to be submitted at immigration.
Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) apps can be downloaded for both IOS and Android.
